In today’s market we have a vast amount of computers to choose from. As technology moves forward as does computer technology. Let’s face it, we are in the technological age where we need computers in our lives, now to determine which one is best for you well that is all about preference.
Some people swear by Mac and others swear by Windows, this is all based on your needs, what you are used too and what brand you like. Some people are even adventurous and have it blended where they use both Mac and Windows. Here we will talk about MAC vs Windows and see the comparison of Mac vs. Windows. Although both are equally strong technology in it's own right when it comes to hardware and software but none the less there is still a difference. Below are some comparison between the two.
Mac: •Hardware is very expensive for what you pay for and can be limited to what is being offered, even to upgrade your hardware could be very costly.
Windows: •Hardware is less expensive and more interchangeable with parts made from other manufactures. Easily upgradeable. You get more bang for your buck with Windows products.
Mac: •Comes with less software, paying more for a computer that comes with less software. Apple app store offers about 14,000 apps.
Windows: •Comes with a ton of software that are easily removable or to add, App store has more than 50,000 apps to customize your computer. Makes your computer more diverse and tailored to you.
Mac: •Hardware and software are harder to upgrade, not as customizable, not third party program and hardware friendly. Not used as often in businesses. App’s drop compatibility with old applications faster.
Windows: •Compatible with third party programs and third party hardware. Easier to upgrade hardware to customize computer to one’s liking. Windows is used in 98 % of business. App’s does not out date as quick.
Mac: •Have fewer viruses and require less Maintenance, most users can get by without any antivirus program. Less updates to do on computer
Windows: •Are more susceptible to getting viruses and requires anti-virus programs which in most cases are a yearly cost. Windows requires multiple updates and often to keep computer current.
Mac: •Not used as preferred method for gaming, even the vast selection of graphic cards available. Less gaming options and hardware and tools to fine-tune performance.
Windows: •Offers bleeding edge gaming experience. Better graphic cards and CPU to run a game. More options in games, hardware and tools to fin-tune for a non-beatable performance in game play.
The end result is that Macs offer more straight forward approach to computing with fewer maintenance required as to Windows who needs to update more often. Macs have fewer viruses, while Windows requires an antivirus. Windows offers a great backwards compatibility and able to use third party hardware and software while apple products are compatible with only apple products.
Windows is the platform that is use mostly around the world. Neither operation system is easy to use nor when it comes to being user friendly that comes with what you are most comfortable and familiar with. Both system as you can see has its pro’s and con’s, which one is best for you; well you can only answer that. I say test drive them both.
